This is one of the nicest, if not the nicest, 1969 Yenko Chevelle Re-Creations in the country. It started as a frame-off 1969 Chevelle SS 396 about 3 years ago with every nut and bolt redone or replaced. It has only seen about 2500 miles since then. It has gone thru a mechanical and cosmetic restoration from top to bottom. The all metal body was re-painted Daytona Yellow (a Yenko color) and is factory straight. Every original chrome or trim piece that could be used was or replaced with new, as well as new bumpers, weatherstripping, windshield, wheels/tires, exhaust, brakes, front end and suspension parts. Underneath is clean, done in satin black with all parts reworked or replaced as new. The engine is a true 512 block that is a LS-5 454 from a 1970 SS. It was rebuilt at Jasper Engines and still has a warranty. It has an Edelbrock Aluminum Intake, new Edelbrock #1901 Quadrajet carb, performance spark plug wires, some extra chrome fo show looks, correct factory exhaust manifolds, correct type tower clamps, reproduction R-95 type battery, mufflers, factory chrome tips, as well as reproduction chassis labels and decals. The engine compartment is very detailed, as is the interior, trunk, and underside! This Chevelle is nice. You must see it. No disappointments! The 1969 Yenko Chevelle 427 was rarer than the Camaro! The Yenko/SC Chevelle was a 1969 production year run only. It was ordered as a COPO 427 Chevelle from the factory just as the Yenko Camaros were. As a result the Chevelle is rarer due to being a 1969 production run only of 99. This is less than half of the 201 Yenko Camaros produced in 1969. The Yenko Chevelle came with the same package as the Camaro, a 427-425 horse L-72 motor, disc brakes as standard, Turbo Hyydro transmission, a strengthened GM 12-bolt axle, uprated suspension and Yenko SC (Super Car) logos and black stripes. Options included a Sport Suspension package, Atlas mag wheels, F60 tires, and more. They were rare on the street, as just 99 were built in 1969. This re-creation was originally Fathom Green. Of the 99 1969 Yenko Chevelles built only 30 or so are still in existence. Only 7 Fathom Green Yenko Chevelles were produced and only 13 of the original 99 were equipped with automatic transmission. Of those 13, only 1 was known to exist with a column shifter and bench seat, making this a re-creation of truly a 1 of 1 vehicle. This beautiful Yenko Chevelle re-creation has been carefully researched and detailed back to correct GM/Yenko specifications by Bobby Chestnut and Dave Weilage of Big Block Chevys . com of Jasper, Indiana. That real Yenko would cost you about $200,000 to $300,000 if you could find it, you can buy this one for 1/8th the price, and you can drive this and enjoy it! Everyone who sees it asks, Is it a real Yenko? Not many people know if it is or not. The engine is a true 512 block that is a LS-5 454 from a 1970 SS. Engine is very streetable and works well on the street or highway, sounds great, but is actually tame compared to more radical big blocks. The interior is a black bench seat with auto on the column, which was standard on these cars, (rare) and almost perfect with everything either replaced or cleaned as needed. All the gauges work as well as the heater, horn, lights, and turn signals. It has seatbelts and G.M. reproduction floor mats. It comes with Owners Manual, dealer brochure, and copies of Yenko adds in magazines and newspapers. This 1969 Yenko Chevelle has the right look, eye popping color, a good dependable drivetrain, and immaculate interior, this Yenko Chevelle is the ultimate look-a-like that costs you a fraction of the real thing. This is a quality car, it is not perfect nor has it been a trailer queen. It does have a few blemishes and chips touched up but I would say the paint is a solid 8-8.5 out of 10 with 10 being a perfect Museum quality car, and I am picky. It is a frame-off restoration that is driven and looks and sounds like a real Yenko.
